Decoding kinematic information from the brain (intra-cortical: LFP)
Continuous force decoding using local field potentials of the primary motor cortex in freely moving rats
This project had many phases, including training rats, performing surgery, designing and building multichannel arrays in various dimensions, implanting multichannel arrays, recording intracortical data (spike train, LFP), and rat's forelimb force, and processing the recorded data. I successfully predicted the rats' forelimb force using their LFP signals, SWT features, and linear regression (PLS and Kalman filter).
